Description

The dumbbell front raise is one of the best shoulder exercises out there. This move isolates the anterior deltoid muscle and strengthens your core. It can be performed with a light barbell, dumbbells, or kettlebells. Beginners can use resistance bands. Watch your form and stick to light to moderate weights to prevent injuries.

How to do it

  1. 1Stand up straight, with your hands at the sides. Grab two dumbbells and place them on front of your thighs at arm length. Your palms should be facing your thighs. Keep your knees slightly bent.
  2. 2Raise your arms in front of you at shoulder level. Maintain a neutral spine.
  3. 3Return to the starting position using slow, controlled movements.

⚠️ Common mistakes

  • Arching your back
