Description

A rotational core stability drill that combines side-plank support with controlled trunk opening. It is especially useful in core circuits, stability work and bodyweight conditioning sessions that require lateral control and shoulder support.

How to do it

  1. 1Lie on your side and support yourself on one forearm with your legs extended and stacked, keeping your hips lifted.
  2. 2Rotate your torso open and sweep your top arm upward until you reach a stable side-plank position.
  3. 3Return with control by rotating back down and bringing your top arm across and under your torso.

⚠️ Common mistakes

  • Letting the hips drop instead of maintaining a straight side-plank line.
  • Collapsing into the supporting shoulder during the rotation.
  • Using arm swing and torso momentum instead of controlled rotation.

Now you know how it is done. In the app it joins the other exercises and becomes a multi-week plan.
