The “Double Leg Stretch” is a classic Pilates exercise that builds resistance in your abdominal muscles, developing coordination and control throughout your body.
When performed correctly, therefore keeping your torso still during the exercise, the double leg stretch not only strengthens your abs and neck tensor muscles, but it also helps to build strength, agility and balance.
How to do it
- 1Lie down on your back. Gather your legs, placing your hands over your ankles.
- 2While inhaling, simultaneously contract your arms and legs.
- 3Exhale while bringing your knees back to your chest and wrap your arms around your legs.
⚠️ Common mistakes
- Arch your lower back during the extension phase.
- Place your shoulders and head on the ground.
Now you know how it is done. In the app it joins the other exercises and becomes a multi-week plan.
