Description

Touted as one of the best exercises for skiers, the pulsing squat works all those large muscles in the lower body, such as your quads, glutes, and hamstrings. It also keeps your joints flexible, improves functional fitness, and builds core strength.

How to do it

  1. 1Stand up straight with your arms extended in your front of you. Keep your feet hip width apart.
  2. 2Slowly lower your hips and bend the knees until your thighs are parallel to the floor. Imagine you are sitting in an imaginary chair.
  3. 3Maintain this position for a few seconds. Contract your glutes, slightly rise up, and then lower yourself. Repeat this pulsing movement several times.

⚠️ Common mistakes

  • Not keeping your abs and glutes tight
  • Caving your knees in towards the floor

Now you know how it is done. In the app it joins the other exercises and becomes a multi-week plan.
