Doing push-ups with your feet elevated puts greater pressure on the higher part of chest muscles. This exercise also engages the shoulders and triceps. It's a compound move that builds upper body strength, tones your arms, and sculpts your chest. If you don’t have a flat bench, use an exercise ball or any other elevated surface.
How to do it
- 1Assume push-up position and place your toes on the bench.
- 2Keep your hands on the floor apart from each other until elbows form an angle that is approximately 90. Your back should be straight at all times.
- 3Bend your elbows to lower your body until your chest is almost touching the floor.
- 4Press your upper body back up using your pecs and triceps muscles.
⚠️ Common mistakes
- Arching your back
- Raising your hips
Now you know how it is done. In the app it joins the other exercises and becomes a multi-week plan.
