The Single Leg Bridge is an exercise that works effectively on the buttocks, legs, femoral biceps, lower back and abdominals.
The movement, if properly executed, tones the thighs, strengthens the back and sculpts the abs, which perform greater stabilization work when the leg is in the air.
The Single Leg Bridge may be helpful in relieving lower back discomfort because if done consistently and correctly, it tends to strengthen lower back muscles as well as the buttocks.
NOTE: To make the exercise more challenging, perform the movement without allowing the buttocks to touch the ground
How to do it
- 1In a supine position, arms straight at your sides. Fold one leg holding the other straight.
- 2Simultaneously lift the pelvis and the straight leg
- 3Return to the starting position
- 4NOTE: To make the exercise more challenging, perform the movement without allowing the buttocks to touch the ground.
⚠️ Common mistakes
